Kerri Kearns

Kerri Kearns has been involved in youth ministry since 1997. She grew up in Rockville Centre, where she was a member in St. Agnes Cathedral Youth Group as a volunteer staff member. Her years in youth ministry have helped Kerri be who she is today. She has participated in World Youth Day in Italy 2000, Canada 2002, and Germany 2005...along with many spiritual retreats, which have impacted her tremendously. There is nothing more Kerri wants than to give the youth of St. Rose the same experience she received as a youth group member. She anticipates fun, spiritual experiences on retreats, prayer groups, and community service which brings the youth together.

Kerri attended St. Agnes Elementary School, South Side High School and Mitchell College, CT. Some of the new programs Kerri plans to bring to the youth ministry program at St. Rose of Lima are:

  • Monday nights and Thursday afternoon programs;
  • Retreats;
  • Youth events with the Diocese of Rockville Centre;
  • Prayer Nights;
  • Youth Jam night with other youth groups: and
  • Guest speakers throughout the year.

Kerri's best moments as a youth member were the times she went on retreats with other youth groups from the diocese. Some of her best friends came through her experiences while on retreats. She also enjoyed helping her parish in any way possible.
