(516) 541-6716 (Evenings)
St. Rose of Lima Parish is actively seeking a new Youth Minister. Please contact Linda Nalick at LindaN@StRoseofLimaParish.org with resume or for information.
There are those who say the youth are our future.
They are woefully misinformed….
The youth is very much our present!

YOUTH GROUP PROGRAMS
TEENS – Generally 7-12 Grades, but exceptions can be made when older siblings are already involved.
Sunday Night 5:FifTeen Mass
The Parish lets this be OUR mass, so come make it YOURS, too – your time and talents are always welcome! Teen band and singers, Ushers, Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers. Band and singers practice on Sundays from 4:30 until 5:15 Mass. Additional practices from 6:30 – 7:15 as needed based on new music or Christmas Show’s demand, with pizza dinner / social time until 8:00 pm. This mass continues all year long!
Monday Night InSight
Mondays – 7-8:30 pm. (summertime until 9:00). The group shares their week’s highs and lows. Relevant topics are discussed to challenge, enlighten, and spark some great dialogue in the spirit of confidentiality and respect for one another. Once a month we prepare a meal together to share, and once a month we get to hang out in the loft where there are movies, instruments, ping-pong, pool, foosball, and other games and good times to be found. This program continues all year long!
Community Service
These weekend activities are coordinated and arranged through the above cornerstones and offer a means to give back to those in our area who are in need. In the past year we have volunteered for the Special Olympics helping run games and encouraging the athletes, raised food donations for the Food Pantry at our Outreach Office from our Christmas Show, made meals for Innkeepers, provided music for church events and Christmas parties, and regularly help run the 5:FifTeen Mass through ushering, lecturing, singing or playing the music for the mass or Interfaith Services. These activities can be counted towards requirements for Honor Society, and look good on college and/or scholarship applications.
SPECIAL EVENTS
• Christmas Shows
• Innkeepers – Making food for the hungry (last Tuesday of every month)
• Youth Jam / Lock-ins – Catholic youth groups coming together for a mini retreat.
