Meetings are held monthly to plan Liturgies which include the whole family, especially those with young children. The Family Liturgy Committee's goal is to help provide an atmosphere where faith can be shared, developed and renewed, with a sense of joy and celebration. Join them Sunday mornings.

Family Liturgy - Opportunities to be involved and Activities 2021 - 2022
Ways to Participate – An important part of attending Mass on a weekly basis is your active participation. If children are interested in exploring different ways that they can participate in the Mass, please consider these roles available at the St. Rose of Lima Family Mass:
* Youth Usher – Help with the offertory collection or offertory procession by coming to the back of the Church after the homily. If parents have any questions, feel free to see the Usher Leaders in the back of the Church before the Family Mass on any Sunday morning.
* Petition Reader – Younger school aged children are able to read petitions as part of the Prayer of the Faithful. Please see one of the Family Liturgy members handing out the Song Sheets before Mass for more information.
* Music – Join the FAMILY LITURGY YOUTH CHORALE (Grades 4 – 8 & High School Choir Leaders) or the YOUTH BELL CHOIR (Middle – High School) or JUNIOR BELL CHOIR (Elementary - Middle School) – For more information, feel free to visit in the choir loft or reach out to John Buckel, Director of Music & Organist (516-798-4992 x240, JohnB@SROLchurch.org).

We are looking for additional parishioners to help us our efforts in Family Liturgy. You don't need any special experience to become a member of our committee. You just have to have a desire to grow in your faith, a willingness to give a little of your time and talents, and the spirit to work with others. To find out more about Family Liturgy, you can speak with any of our members each Sunday at the Family.

Becoming a member of Family Liturgy does not come with a weekly commitment. The Committee is divided into teams, and each team is assigned a few Sundays throughout the year. Periodic meetings are held to develop and share our plans within the committee.
