(Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding & Study)
Is a self-diagnostic instrument designed to help couples learn more about themselves and their unique relationship. It provides individualized couple feedback on where each partner stands in regard to topic areas important to a marriage. Trained facilitator couples work one-on-one with the engaged couple as they look at patterns in their responses, discuss issues and problem solve.
The Pre Cana ministry seeks to prepare engaged couples for the sacrament of Marriage. At St. Rose, Pre Cana is an in-home ministry where married “Host Couples” have usually 4-6 engaged couples in their home for three meetings covering topics such as communication, values, sexuality and spirituality. We have two to three sessions per year depending on the number of couples receiving the sacrament.
Our ministry is always looking for new members! The only requirement for becoming a host couple is that you have a happy marriage and the desire to share your experiences with others. We're a friendly group and try to get together to socialize outside of our ministry. If you're interested in seeing what it's like please call the rectory at 516-798-4992 or Debbie and Brian at 516-797-1550.
Wedding Rehearsal Volunteers
Wedding Rehearsal Volunteers guide the engaged couples, and their wedding party, through the Wedding Ceremony. Training is offered.
Volunteers are always welcome! If interested, please call the Rectory at 516.798.4992.
